Finally. Here's some footage of Macadam laughing...giggling really. His laughter is still in development but it's pretty delightful. Hopefully, it's the first of many funny moments for him, captured.

Block party
Recently, and not so great for us, Macadam has started waking up at night. However, because he's gone less time without food, he'll often hang out in his crib with a few of the blocks I made him and other toys. Sometimes we rest and sometimes, it's just fun to watch him discover. I love that he can already use them and each one is a new surprise for him. He also gets a kick out of hand puppets, namely this little lamb here.
Later in the morning, we caught Macadam's rolling over ability in action as well. You can see how he's working on getting his crawling muscles ready as well as his remaining cradle cap, also known as his "corn flakes."

Coffee dates
Macadam goes on a lot of coffee dates. Sometimes there's babies, sometimes there's not. But, when there are babies, their most always cute baby girls. Our last coffee date was no exception. The adorable Bernadette (also the raspberry instructor) aka Bernie is one cute baby girl. She's just three weeks older than Mr. Mac and it's so much fun to see them interact!

Remembering
Last weekend we headed south to remember Rob's grandma who passed in January. Maurine Faw led an amazing and full life. On Saturday we went to a memorial in her honor and it was nice to have the family gathered to share in her memory. Later we saw Grandpa Volney and were able to capture some more pictures of him with Macadam as well as a shot of four generations of Faws. It marvels me that he and Maurine were married 72 years, what an accomplishment!
Macadam also experienced his first professional lacrosse game (and so did his mama). It was so loud but we still managed to get him to sleep after he watched the first couple of quarters. I have never seen him shake like he did when the Lumberjax voice first came on, poor little guy. He also had some great quality time with Grandpa Faw, Grandma 3 and Uncle Justin during different times of the weekend. Macadam also got to charm some ladies while he went with me to a friend's baby shower. He really is quite flirty these days and it's a lot of fun to see him make eyes at people, even strangers.
Here's a slide show of the weekend.

Interview with a raspberry
While the subject matter of this video isn't for everyone, you might be made of stone if it doesn't make you smile. Making raspberries is easily Macadam's favorite thing to do these days. He picked it up from another baby friend, Bernadette, and hasn't stopped since. They come on strong when he is tired, right before he either loses it or falls asleep. Either way, it's hilarious. At the end of the video, we had a better angle and you will see his face, which is even better to watch.

Music lessons
A couple of weekends back we had a great time with friends - enjoying some delicious food (thank you Shannon!), laughs and a little music. In the midst of it all, Macadam was able to experience his first instrument, Bobby's ukulele. Keri set up some chords for him on the guitar. From the look of it, he's not too sure how he feels about music.

Hard-hitting journalism
Macadam and I are no Frost-Nixon but I did bring him out of his shell in these two clips (sorry, they were both so cute I couldn't edit the post for just one). Turn up the volume and enjoy some pretty sweet coos.
