So, we meet again...

Sunday brought the chance for us to see some long-distance family and have the two cousins, Macadam and Austin, meet again. They're definitely growing up and we figured they would be good on their own, see?

Family man

In a matter of a little more than a week, Macadam managed to see all of his grandparents and both his uncles. While we forgot our camera for two of the visits we did get a few shots and a couple of redos two weeks later. Here's just a few photos of his relatives enjoying his company.

First they come north, then they come west

After a week of visitors from the south in Oregon, we had the pleasure of visiting with our friends Amie and Shane who moved to Pullman last year. It was so fun to catch up and even better to have them meet Macadam. They've long loved Buster but I think he's having to once again play second fiddle to his new housemate.

Macadam is also definitely becoming more aware of the camera, as you can see in a few of these pictures.

Two heads are better than one

During a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Fox, Macadam and his grandpa put their heads together for a strategy session. I think they were discussing cowboys...


While it was a belated birthday lunch for his momma, Macadam made sure he entertained his grandparents to ensure it was more than enough to make up for the long drive (thank you!).

A killer weekend

Last weekend was a true treat. Rob did his magic and gathered many of our dear friends, both near and far to celebrate my entrance into the next decade. Man, it looks like I can't come to terms with my age, but I can and I can't imagine being anywhere else in life.

With celebrations comes wonderful times with friends. Macadam is always fond of the ladies and he also got to try out a Bumbo seat, graciously loaned to him by Cole B. He's getting into it and his first round was pretty enjoyable as Cory made him laugh.

A fun weekend of friends

This past weekend we had the good fortune of spending time with dear friends and showing Macadam about town. Friday night we went out for oh so good noodles with the lovely Marissa and Ali, followed by tea and beer.

Next up was Saturday with morning coffee, a walk to the locks and welcoming Steve and Kate for the weekend. We had so much fun hanging out at home and introducing them to Macadam. Our coffee shop was having its Turkey party - the "gallery" showing of our hand turkeys - and the Nasses came along for the fun.

We were so happy that Macadam and his oh so cute cousin Austin were able to meet each other (and we were able to see some qonderful family members too). Austin, his adorable brother Talan, and lovely mom and dad live in Dallas, Texas right now so visits are rare.

With Austin just a little more than a week older than Macadam, it was really fun to see them next to each other. These guys had a room full of adults mesmerized. They also fell prey to some interesting photo poses, especially for two babies who have limited neck strength. You can see that Macadam and Austin were questioning the idea of these poses but it was comedy as well as being in two different states, one sleepy and one alert.

It's going to be so fun to see these guys interact as they grow up.



The cabbage patch dolls were a hilarious addition to demonstrate Austin's sweet grandma's belief he looks like one.

Grandpa Terry's visit today proved so peaceful for Macadam he didn't even require a steady hand.

Until it was story time...

This is Venice

When Grandpa Terry visited earlier this week Macadam had him read "This is Venice" which is one of his favorites from M. Sasek. Okay, maybe it's one of ours but he listens in rapt attention. This was a nice way to end a fun evening of dinner on the water, watching the presidential debate and enjoying time with Grandpa.

Cousins

Macadam and his cousin Elle (I don't know the removal process for cousins but they're still cousins just the same) sizing each other up. He also was able to meet his Great Aunt Jeanne, cousin Kirsten and Elle's brother, Karsten. It was fun to see all the little people in one room. It's going to be so much fun to see these cousins grow up together.

Here are the two fast friends during Grandma Karen's visit this past weekend. It was a nice weekend with plenty of walks and outings as well as plenty of cuddle time for our little guy and his grandmom.

A full social calendar

Our little man is already a little social butterfly. We took him out two nights in a row but he also welcomed some friends to the house as he met some favorite people and hung out with neighborhood pals.

First playdate

Well, we can't really call it a play date but it was cute nonetheless when Macadam met his new friend Clover.

A busy and fun weekend

In our true style, we did a great deal with a little boy who is still days old, maybe too much but we just can't say no to fun and hanging out. Macadam was a trooper and never showed signs of fatigue, even if Mom and Dad did.

Saturday we started out with friends and coffee and our longest walk to date. A great surprise was a visit from Uncle Justin and Andrea, which put Macadam out for his first lunch with beer (just kidding). Later on he went to his first bbq where we celebrated a friend's 30th.



On Sunday, Macadam was surrounded by ladies at Marissa's bridal shower before we headed to a wonderful evening treat, thank you Anne and Adam, - a cooking class at Le Gourmand, a local French restaurant. The food was amazing and Macadam was, as usual a doll, even though his four course meal included only one ingredient.



These were taken while he was hanging out at the shower. He was very alert, which is always a treat and I love the one where his hand is almost as big as is face.
