Mobile test post from nyc
Here's Mac heading into the city on the bus. He loves being on the road and getting to move around. This is my first post via email on my phone so hope you can see it and the other mini posts to follow!

For the love of squash
We've been enjoying the fruits of Friendship Farm's labor, and the butternut squash has become among one of Macadam's favorites. He'll eat it, but he especially loves playing with it.

The obligatory pumpkin patch post
After seeing that basically everyone we know went to the pumpkin patch in the last two or three weeks, it comes with little surprise that we, too, went to the pumpkin patch. We took advantage of our only weekend we were all three in town together at the beginning of the month and tagged along with Lila and her parents to go to a pumpkin patch on Bainbridge Island. We went here a couple of years ago with John and Jen and loved it then. While we didn't follow the visit with a tasting at the nearby winery, we enjoyed a delicious brunch and watching the little ones get their first real slice of fall.

Crowning glory
It's hard to say if these photos need more introduction than the blog post title, but let's just say, little man has some hair. Each day is a new day of his growing mop of curls. Some mornings, like the one when these photos were taken, his becomes kind of a show stopper. *No alterations were made, it's just that big:).

Baby's best friend
After many months of working on saying gentle, and working with Mac to be nice to Buster, we may be getting somewhere...for now. If only the same could be said for when it comes to his other baby friends:).

The big Bay weekend
It was the final stop on the vow train of 2009 and it did not disappoint. We had a fantastic time reuniting with some of my dearest college friends and well, it had a little something of everything - afternoon traipsing the city with girlfriends (and Mac), running 20 miles along the San Fran waterfront and the Golden Gate bridge in the fog (me), jetting up to wine country to stay in a cute, rustic cottage with the Badgers, wine tasting and celebrating at an amazing wedding for Louis and Jaye. It was hot, hot, hot on the day of the ceremony, but that didn't distract from the beauty and emotion of the day.
Comparing the weddings we have been to this past year is like comparing fireworks - impossible. They've each been amazing, beautiful and wonderful representations of the two people uniting in their life together. We feel so fortunate to be able to travel and be a part of the big days and are happy that we can take a breather for a few months. Okay, well that is until New York at the end of October, but you know what we mean:).
