Goof ball
There's really no other descriptor beyond goofy for this picture but it's just too full of personality not to share...

Lately
We've been busy of late and there are so many updates that it will take a few days to get caught up with the man of the hour, and of this blog, Macadam. Until then, I leave you with one of my favorite recent photos. His eyes just look unreal and are even more vivid thanks to the hat Rebecca made him.
More soon!

Half dozen
It's slightly unbelievable that Macadam is six months already today. He continues to change, grow and become more delightful everyday. It's hard to even comprise a list of all the things that he's doing these days since it seems like there are so many, but I'll try writing a few.
He loves to eat, including his recent introduction to solid food
Almost sitting up on his own, rolling over all the time, and scooting up on his knees, Macadam is showing signs that he wants to crawl
He loves his feet - chewing on them, holding them, and trying to get ahold of ours
After several months of drool, he now seems this close to cutting his first teeth
He makes us laugh more and more each day and seems to enjoy cracking himself up, can you tell he's ours?
His baby mullet remains but in the last week he's growing more hair on top
He loves people - watching them, hanging out with them and smiling
He's constantly trying to get to Buster, much to Buster's chagrin
He'll instantly chill out when being carried outside or in a new place or when he watches us or other people cook
He's developing and testing out new sounds every week, some are cute and some are not-so-cute (imagine what a pterodactyl might have sounded like)
Flirting is probably his second favorite activity
Here are a few pics of what he likes to do...

Giggles McGee
Finally. Here's some footage of Macadam laughing...giggling really. His laughter is still in development but it's pretty delightful. Hopefully, it's the first of many funny moments for him, captured.

Block party
Recently, and not so great for us, Macadam has started waking up at night. However, because he's gone less time without food, he'll often hang out in his crib with a few of the blocks I made him and other toys. Sometimes we rest and sometimes, it's just fun to watch him discover. I love that he can already use them and each one is a new surprise for him. He also gets a kick out of hand puppets, namely this little lamb here.

Later in the morning, we caught Macadam's rolling over ability in action as well. You can see how he's working on getting his crawling muscles ready as well as his remaining cradle cap, also known as his "corn flakes."
