Spring in San Francisco

When we went to San Francisco last weekend, we left Seattle with 70 degree temps and sunny skies while San Fran was cloudy and rainy. Yet, even when it rains there, it's still pleasant. Although Rob worked most of the time, we had two very fun days filled with seeing one of our favorite cities and great friends. It was also nice to fly again with Macadam to see what he's like at this age and stage since we're taking a much, much longer flight in a week.

Friday was spent with Macadam and me walking through Noe Valley and the Mission before meeting up with Rob after work and then Kathleen. Since dinnertime is a little too late for the glory that is Macadam it was nice to have the next morning to see Kathleen again! Before we met up with Kathleen, Mr. Mac and I headed down to the farmers market at the ferry building, which included catching a vintage streetcar ride.

For lunch, Rob joined us and we met up with the older Mr. Kimm, Chris, at the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park. And wow, it didn't disappoint. We had fun with Chris as our guide and although Macadam slept through much of it, he did wake up to see the albino alligator and the penguins, which he loved.

We ended the day Saturday with a fun and tasty dinner with the Shermans-to-be. Given that we were in the Tenderloin area of SF, I was happy only three crackheads attempted to touch Macadam while I had him outside getting him to sleep. We're so excited to Pat and Meganagain in just another week as they tie the knot in Mexico, congrats!
